WHAT DO FARMERS SAY ABOUT OUR FENCING PRODUCTS |

"Our family has
been using Lightning Fence Droppers for about 33 years and still
considers them to be the best fence droppers on the market " |

"We used to use one of the V-channel Galvanised
Droppers but switched to Lightning® Droppers as the fencing
contractors were complaining that the clips and the key-hook tool
with those V-type droppers was too difficult to get around the
‘Iowa’ barb. The Lightning goes straight on and is much
quicker to put on too. We’ve been using them for 15 – 17 years
now and replaced none.. If you loose the fence, you can
rebuild or repair the fence, and re-use the dropper." |

"Much quicker than the others to put on. I can
install 1,000 droppers in a couple of hours all up. They’re
really good to use and there is no problem with them shifting.
The others cripple much more easily … in fact I don’t think I have
ever seen a Lightning cripple … the others (V-Type) just don’t seem
as ‘steely’ – they’re softer than Lightning. " |

"Just started buying Lightning- 3500 – 4000 in the
last couple of months … lighter, a lot easier to put on.
There’s a lot more mucking around to install V-Type … a matter of
seconds to install the Lightning … at least ¼ of the time of the
others … I mean could be 3 seconds to install (with a bit of
practice). We’ve got a lot of suspension fences and the
lighter weight of the Lightning means the wires don’t sag. They put
up with a lot of punishment … I’ve seen cattle hit a fence with
Lightning Droppers on it and they just bounce back with no effect to
the fence at all. The others (V-Type) bend; mate, I’ve seen
them break! I’ll keep using them – I’ve got 30km going up at
the moment & that’s all I’ll use. Most people out here use
‘em." |

"So much easier to install than the V-Type … the
V-Type are so time consuming. If we do 1km of fence with posts
at 10m centres and three droppers between it takes us around 4 – 5
hours using red gum droppers, about 3 hours using V-Type and barely
ONE HOUR with Lightning. With labour around $60.00 per hour
that’s a big saving. If we quote a job (quote per metre or
chain), we charge for the difficulty of the fence – it’s quicker for
us to install Lightning so our quote is cheaper. If we quote
Lightning, we win! lightning Fence Dropper they last longer, Red Gum
we use tie wire to install but they’ll break if hit and they weather
– life span about 10 years, V-Type Galvanised cripple if they’re
hit. If a wire breaks with Lightning the wire will pull
through (the loops) – so you can re-run the wire without removing
the droppers, with a V-Type you must remove all the droppers in the
section to repair and re-strain the fence. If you don’t you’ll
have a very crooked fence! We just love the Lightning
product. We’re trying to convince everyone around here to use
it." |
